    Fetal nucleated red blood cells in the maternal circulation as target cells for non-invasive prenatal diagnostics
  • 1992-1998: Pharmacy studies (Karl-Franzens-University Graz, Austria). Diploma work on:
    Examination of the contracting actions of isoprostanes in the isolated rat aorta and isolated rat gastric fundus

  • Since 2006: Head of Production (Blood and Tissue Bank, Tissue Engineering Unit) at Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service of Upper Austria, Linz
    Current research interests:
    • amniotic membrane in preclinical and clinical applications
    • stem cells from amniotic membrane and umbilical cord
    • platelet lysate as substitute for fetal calf serum
  • 2006-2007: Setting up of Tissue Bank as a new business area at Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service of Upper Austria
  • 2003-2006: Lecturer in degree program bioinformatics at Advanced Technical College, Hagenberg, Austria
  • 2002-2005: Post-Doc at Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Experimental and Clinical Traumatology Vienna/Linz, Austria
    • Isolation of several biomaterials out of human placenta and their application
