In accordance with Art. 13 and 14 GDPR, this data protection declaration provides you with a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website or also receive information offers from the EATCB.

1. Data protection at the EATCB

As the operator of this website, the EATCB takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this data protection declaration. We collect, process and use your personal data only to the extent permitted by law in order to inform you about tissue and cell medicine and the EATCB network and to contact you.

Where the legal basis is not stated in the privacy notice, the following applies:

- The legal basis for obtaining consent is Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 7 GDPR,

- the legal basis for processing in order to fulfil our services and carry out contractual measures as well as answering enquiries is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR,

- the legal basis for processing for the fulfilment of our legal obligations is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR,

- the legal basis for processing to protect our legitimate interests is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

- In the event that vital interests of the data subject or another natural person make it necessary to process personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. d GDPR serves as the legal basis.

If you subscribe to a newsletter on our homepage or use contact forms, your data will be transmitted to us in encrypted form to prevent access by unauthorised third parties. In principle, we store your data on specially protected servers. Access to personal data is only possible via our employees who are familiar with the relevant data protection regulations. Other data is automatically collected by our IT systems as soon as you enter our website.

We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

1.4 Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format.

1.5 SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

2. Collection & scope of the processing of personal data

You can visit our site without providing any personal information. We only store access data without personal reference, such as the name of your internet service provider, the page from which you visit us or the name of the requested file. This data is used exclusively to improve our services and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person.

The personal data of users processed within the scope of this online offer, i.e. of interested parties and visitors to our online offer, includes inventory data such as first and last name, postcode, city, email address, telephone and IP address.

We process users' personal data only in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations. This means that the user's data is only processed if legal permission has been granted. This means, in particular, if the data processing is necessary for the provision of our contractual services (e.g. processing of enquiries) as well as online services, or is required by law, or if the users have given their consent, as well as on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation and security of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. 2.1 Server log files

The hoster of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to the hoster when you visit our website. This data is not merged with other data sources. The IP addresses of the callers in the log files are anonymised with an 'x' after 7 days.


2.2 Forms

On our website you have the possibility to send us an enquiry on various topics: This can concern very general things such as questions about the process of a tissue donation or our work (general contact form). Or, you can contact us using the specific forms available on our website to enquire about membership, support, submit a compliment or complaint, or order our information materials. The information you provide in the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for a maximum of 10 years for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent. You can revoke your consent to the storage of this data at any time. To do so, please send us an email to office@eatcb.eu. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.


2.3 Newsletter

Our newsletter informs interested parties about news at the EATCB and on the topic of tissue and cell medicine, usually several times a year. You can subscribe to the newsletter only as an email. The newsletter is only sent to members and therefore with the consent of the membership.

The email newsletter is sent via the email programme of the provider IONOS.

Your data will only be passed on to IONOS and stored on IONOS servers in Germany and Ireland. With the help of IONOS we are able to send our newsletter campaigns.

2.4 Cookies

Cookies are pieces of information that are transferred from our web server or third party web servers to the users' web browsers and stored there for later retrieval. Cookies may be small files or other types of information storage. Users are informed about the use of cookies in the context of pseudonymous reach measurement as part of this data protection declaration.

Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies).
