Master in Donation and Transplantation

Registration for the 2019-20 University of Barcelona Master and Postgraduate programs in Donation and Transplantation is now open.A special discount is available to EATCB members who enroll on the Master program.

The program will commence in October 2016, and brings together academic training and practical experience under the same degree program. The program is modular and comprises a blend of online and face-to-face tuition. It is aimed at professionals working in all aspects of the fields of tissue banking and advanced cell therapies. 

Participants can choose up to four different training pathways. Each itinerary consists of three modules, a six-week internship and final dissertation. In total four modules are offered: Organ Procurement, Organ Transplantation, Tissue Banking & Advanced Therapies, and Leadership, Quality and Management in Organ Procurement & Transplantation. These modules can also be studied independently of the Master Program. A Postgraduate Degree certified by TPM can be obtained by completing one module and two weeks practical experience.

For those professionals who are interested in doing a PhD afterwards, the possibility of pursuing the official Master's Degree of the University of Barcelona: Master in Clinical Investigation, specialization in Donation and Transplantation of Organs, Tissues and Cells (60 ECTS) is offered. The main aim of the program is to provide graduates in the fields of biomedical and health sciences with research skills necessary to complete PhD studies, by developing competences related to research methodology.
